Unleash the Library Users
The purpose of the project is to empower library users in becoming active companions in creating tomorrow’s physical library. The project intends to do so by exploring different methods for user-driven innovation and adapting them to the domain of the public library.
The project is based at Aarhus Main Library which is part of the division “Citizen Service and Libraries”. The project begins March 2006 and we therefore expect to present some more in depth information about the project and hopefully some thoughts about and approaches for user-driven innovation in a library context and early experiences from the process at the Elevations poster session. Which form it will be presented in is at this early stage of the project difficult to say, but we expect to present pictures from various events and activities taking place over the course of spring/summer 07. We also hope in cooperation with project YOUng to be able to present footage from a common live event at Aarhus Main Library which will be taking place simultaneously with the Elevations conference.
