Kaj Groenbaek
Professor, Centre for Interactive Spaces, Aarhus University
Kaj Grønbæk is a professor at the Department of Computer Science  at the University of Aarhus and a manager of the ISIS Katrinebjerg / Centre for Interactive Spaces.

His research includes open hypermedia, Web- and multimedia-technologies, interactive spaces, augmented reality, as well as  participatory design, and computer supported cooperative work (CSCW). Kaj Grønbæk has developed software in terms of hypermedia systems and user interface design tools, and he has an extensive scientific publication list with a book and more than 50 international papers..

Kaj Grønbæk has conducted a series of research projects, among others as a manager of one of the two big projects in the Danish Center for Multimedia, and as a manager of the laboratory for Interactive Workspaces in CIT’s Center for Pervasive Computing. Moreover, he has been a research manager of the CIT-project COCONUT in collaboration with Tele Danmark Internet. as well as participant in a series of research projects including the EU-projects EuroCoOp, EuroCODE and WorkSPACE. Many of the projects have taken place in collaboration with industry and Kaj Grønbæk is a co-owner of the company Hypergenic ltd. that develops and sells Web-technology based on the COCONUT project results.

Kaj Grønbæk is one of the founders of the multimedia education at Aarhus University and he has extensive experience in teaching hypermedia and augmented reality.
