I am a librarian and PhD candidate at Blekinge Institute of Technology. In my profession as a librarian I am involved in some projects regarding library development, such asBibliotek 2.0 and The Serachguide Community. Bibliotek 2.0 is a blog which discusses subjects such as the philosophy and practice of libraries, based on recent ICT technologies, widely called Web 2.0.
The searchguide Community is a realisation of the mentioned philosophy and technologies. Lately, I have been a speaker at several occasions where the web technologies and library development were at issue.
In June 2006 my licentiate thesis was released. It is called "Participation Literacy: constructing the Web 2.0 concept". In my coming doctoral thesis I will go deeper into the subject of participation i web environments. This research has its base at the department of Technoscience Studies, also at Blekinge Institute of Technology.
