Web 2.0 promises to make the web a way of life and touch every aspect of our lives. Increasingly people are interacting and participating on the internet and becoming creators, not simply consumers. Libraries are starting to use these technologies to engage their users as well as to create content in areas such as local history and local writing and so assist in the development of connected and inclusive communities. This presentation will discuss how Yarra Plenty Regional Library is positioning itself for the future and what some of the possibilities might be. |
